Japanese Maple. Beautiful, delicate deciduous trees which depending on variety and species can be treated as small trees or large trees. They also vary in leaf shape, leaf colour and habit: e.g. weeping, upright, large or small. Overall however they make beautiful specimens for the garden or containers. They lend themselves to Japanese and contemporary gardens as easily as they do to more traditional gardens. They can be fussy however preferring to be sheltered from wind and in a semi shaded position. Never let them dry out and plant in ericaceous compost. Good autumn colour.
