A delicate evergreen to semi evergreen shrub native to the mountain valleys of India and China. It has a bamboo like appearance due to its feathery, delicate leaves. The new foliage is born in shades of red before turning green with adolescence. In mid summer, conical panicles to 30cm of small, star shaped white flowers are produced, followed by red berries. It is great planted in groups or as a specimen. It also makes for a great container plant. It’s best planted in a sheltered, sunny spot. Frost hardy. Available year round in various sizes.
