Botanical name: Sedum Rupestre "Angelina". Common name: Stonecrop. Fully hardy perennial with dense cushions of thick fleshy leaves. Golden yellow foliage, changing to attractive orange tint in cold weather. It makes an ideal ground cover, tolerant to dry conditions. Position: full sun or partial shade. No flowers. Maintenance: once established, sedums can have a tendency to flop leaving an open and unsightly centre, especially in fertile soil. One technique that helps to prevent this happening is The 'Chelsea chop' during last week of May (The Chelsea Flower Show), cut one in every three stems back to the ground. Different varieties available in spring and summer. Priced from £6.75 approx. If you wish to buy this item, please contact us on 0207 3525656 or email to info@chelseagardener.com.
